Designed around the concept of Thai Modern Living, this project reflects the identity of "Issara" as a contemporary Thai brand by incorporating Thai cultural references throughout the building in a clean, modern way. Traditional Thai textile patterns are adapted as architectural detailing, and the concept of the "chan ruean", the wide veranda of the traditional Thai house, is reinterpreted as a deep balcony extending from every unit.

Each balcony is designed as a usable living space, wide enough for everyday activities and accessible from every room. A four-panel sliding glass door opens fully to allow natural ventilation, while gold aluminium screens with modern Thai motifs line the balcony railings. Deep overhanging eaves provide shade, referencing the rooflines of traditional Thai architecture.

Inside, the building prioritises natural airflow. The communal reception area takes inspiration from the open ground floor of the traditional Thai house that is kept open and cross-ventilated so that it remains comfortable without air conditioning. Elsewhere in the building, Thai design references are simplified and refined to suit a contemporary aesthetic, integrated into the design without being overstated.
