The factory is directly involved in the industrial toxic waste disposal process from testing and detoxifying, to the burial os waste in controlled sites. The architecture has to reflect an environmental philosophy, not only to avoid criticism from surrounding communities, but also to represent the effectiveness of todays technology. A plain and simple design was therefore chosen with formal connections between parts of the building. Open spaces and green areas were designed to be in harmony with the environment. Spaces were divided into two major parts: the office building and the factory compound. The office building consists of a reception hall and conference rooms. A garden with a two-story-high fountain enhance the living environment while linking office spaces, laboratories, and the cafeteria. Contemporary glass building materials were carefully selected to represent technological advancement while not being damaging to the environment. The factory compound consists of warehouse buildings, an implementation building and service buildings. The factory compound was designed with a roof and form that could withstand heavy rain, which is very common in the area. Solid walls were used as much as possible to facilitate naturak ventilation, and to reduce interior heat.
