The architect worked together on the design with the landscape architect and interior designer from the outset. A unique feature of the site are the many large, hundred-year-old trees in the area and its location adjacent to Siam Society, Thailand’s outstanding cultural conservation society. It is also situated where at a BTS and MRT interchange.
The design team aimed to preserve all the trees and enhance the atmosphere of the secluded green forest, the so-called last native woodlands of Asoke. The landscape is designed with a series of low glass enclosures surrounding each tree, emulating an artistic master piece displayed in an art museum. The tranquil serenity and privacy are highlighted, so residents can maintain a closeness with nature.
The building shape has been carefully sculpted and specially
planned to appear slim, giving a sense of elegant simplicity and serenity in design.
The curved glass corners emphasize the uniqueness of its
pure form while dissolving the corner division line of three different side
windows. This enhances the magnificent 270°
panoramic vista at the main facility floor, and the exclusive 64-square meter
2-bedroom units, from which the residents can appreciate the Bangkok skyline.
The color scheme, Mysterious Sapphire Shade, akin to dark
blue sapphires, has been carefully selected. The architectural detail and the
interior design are highly influenced by the timeless classic touches of the
rich, artistic Thai culture. These details are designed under the concept of
The Shade of Siam, creating a new and unique modern-Thainess to suit the
present and future metropolitan lifestyle of Bangkok residents.
A 1,300 square meter amenity area, which is located on the 35th
floor -- the best height to enjoy and appreciate the Bangkok skyline -- includes
a large-scale pool, fully integrated with all related pool functions. The
luxurious Sky Lounge and fitness center boasts a 270° panoramic view, with a lounge
and library on the mezzanine floor.
